About Quirky Crew

Who We Are

Quirky Crew is a Stockport-based, peer-led LGBTQIA+ mental health and wellbeing community. We exist because too many LGBTQIA+ adults fall between clinical services and general social spaces and need somewhere they can feel understood, connect with others and be themselves.

Our community is:

  • LGBTQIA+ led and centred
  • Peer-led and informed by lived experience
  • Inclusive, respectful and non-judgmental
  • Focused on wellbeing, connection, confidence and resilience
  • Non-clinical: we are not therapy or a crisis service and do not replace professional mental health care

Join the Quirky Crew

Right now, LGBTQIA+ adults aged 18 or over can join our free monthly online socials and our Discord community from anywhere in the UK. These provide relaxed ways to connect and participate at your own pace.

During online activities, using your camera or microphone is optional and you may participate through text chat. Adjustments can be requested before attending, and other adjustments will be considered on request.

As Quirky Crew grows, we plan to develop structured peer-support sessions, mental wellbeing workshops and in-person community activities. Details, eligibility, accessibility and any costs will be published before each activity begins.
